Computer Systems (half using xero)

In readiness for this electronic VAT jobby I'm keen to automate my entire order process.

Currently use Xero for all invoices which works nicely. All purchase orders and haulier notes (for goods shipped out of warehouses) are manually entered into Excel and emailed to required destination. I don't receive any deliveries to office, all of them are direct to customers.

When it comes to these purchase orders in Xero, it seems to struggle. It's a pain to change the delivery address, phone numbers need entering manually and can't even do the haulier notes. The have recommended using an App that will sink to Xero, but can't/won't say which one.

Does anyone have any App suggestions or should I be looking for a different system entirely?

My company (3 person software house) has developed an ERM (Enterprise Resource Management) system for a client. It manages every aspect of their business - receipt of enquiry, design, quotation, production planning, delivery notes, transport scheduling and invoicing. The system is entirely flexible for any industry that takes a Bill of Materials and converts it to a product for sale. But we can also implement specific modules as stand alone modules and integrate them in other systems. The invoicing module integrates with Xero. Joking aside it really depends how big your business/user base is, what functionality you want, what needs plugging together with what, what you want to host yourself in house / have hosted by us etc. It's a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question.

Op are you talking about drop shipping? If so search for 'Xero drop shipp app' & you might find something.

From your description what you are referring to is called a back to back sales order. Dear can do this as well as several other add-ins. Most of them are very expensive though just to get this functionality.
