A bit of a spur of the moment purchase saw me driving off in this M2 Competition. I had done a fair bit of research into the model but was struggling to find a dealer who could offer a new car with a sensible lead time and had dismissed it really.

However, I came across this pre-registered car, with delivery miles. It had all of the options I wanted, although was a DCT car and Black probably would have been my 2nd choice - but I have to say so far as a daily driver the auto box has come into its own and I dont regret it.

Im nearly ready for the running in service and look forward to opening it up a little more, but initial impressions are great!

A few pictures - I need to take a few more:

Really like these: but you post is rather contradictory, if you’d done lots of research it wasn’t a spur of the moment purchase, you just found one you liked and bought it. laugh

Really nice, congratulations on the purchase. Your last photo demonstrates perfectly why black was probably your second colour choice!

Perhaps could have been clearer, I had parked it as an option until I saw it parked up at a dealer when I went to view a used M4!

Looks lovely.
Mine is being delivered to my home on the 7th January. Quite looking forward to it as I had an original M2 a while back but didn’t keep it long and wished I hadn’t sold it.

Do you have to pay for the run in service, if you haven’t got the service pack ?

Yes I have to pay for the service (circa. £300), its booked for next week.

The service pack didn't appear to make sense to me - didn't seem good value unless doing mega miles.

Man that looks awesome, i think its the only modern car i kind of lust after. My friend has a normal m2 and i went in it last week for the first time, i couldnt believe how well it went.

Look forward to more updates.

3000 miles in and really enjoying it.

Really is a great all rounder, such a different car to the M135i that I had previously, all the gripes I had with the stability and handling have been dealt with.

Only real moan to date is the Fuel Tank is a bit too small - Irritating more than anything, M135 was the same - circa. 200 miles between fill ups.

I do have a bit of an annoying creak from the drivers seat that is going to get looked at but all good other wise.

I have one of these, manual in lbb- best car I’ve ever had, love them in black, think they look very stealth.

I really do need to take a few good pictures of the car. But I did recently have a light details and ceramic coating applied - not somethign I've had done before but seems to be working well. Interested to see how well it lasts......

Scrubs up well!

The car ticked over the 10k miles this weekend having picked it up at the start of December 2018.

Other than the addition of a Milltek OPF back exhaust system to free up a bit more noise and get rid of the factory rear silencer box that looks terrible, I have done very little to the car. Its been relatively faultless, minus a creaking seat and centre console.

Lifetime MPG is 25.8 - but seems to be improving a bit more generally on my commute - I see high 20's most days - even managed 34mpg on a run to the airport.

My only real irritation is the size of the fuel tank, just wish it had a bit more range!

Off to Scotland in a few weeks to see what the NC500 has to offer and give the car a good test!
