LCD backlight gone.

The backlight on my LCD has gone - all others on the pod are fine (speed, fuel, water temp). Any ideas if this is a simple fix I would be able to take care of myself?

The LCD still works - I just can't see it in the dark.

update (and a bump)

This morning, the LCD backlight flickered dimly and then went off. I guess this means it isn't a just a bulb that has blown.

I know there are some people that took apart their pods to look at the lcd display itself when the lines went. Any tips from you guys?
