That won’t include plugs. Budget about £600 for those. Ridiculous that a major doesn’t include them. What does it include over a minor you may well ask.. it should also include rear drop links and arb bushes.

I think it might - it’s basically this : except for the air con clean (just has that done last time - not needed now)

Does this look ok ?

Can you elaborate on what they are supposed to do to the rear drop links and arb bushes. - cheers smile

Cheers , I think it does. Thanks for tip on the oil - feels a bit like smuggling in alcohol to a nice restaurant though smile

Id ask them for a written breakdown of the quote and compare to the fixed pricing on Porsche.co.uk.

I went through all this tosh with Reading earlier in the year. 1st they were more expensive than their own “fixed “ price service schedule. When challenged they said that was for participating dealers only and they were not participating ... yes, this was the PCGB head office dealership saying it....2nd plugs were xtra and NOT part of the service.

Drop links & bushings are service items on 7RS.

I'd love to know how they can justify charging a st ton more for the 4.0 that is very nearly mechanically identical to the 7.2rs! mad

Went through the same rigmarole with my Spyder. My OPC, owned by Porsche, did not participate in the Porsche Fixed Price Programme!!!!! I took it to Porsche Brooklands who did and saved 30% which is not to be sniffed at.

I pay similar amounts at the best of the Indies. I take a view that it’s part of ownership of one of these plus if I try to nail them on price there’s a good chance they’ll cut corners.

Excellent excuse for a gratuitous car pic OP! Your RS looks great.

Because the car is worth a lot more and they know you are even more likely to use OPC to maintain its value / provenance
I think this shows Porsche for the cynical money grabbing capitalist pigs that they are

That's Reading all over, I will not use them and saved a lot using a different OPC and the different OPC didn't wreck the bodywork either.

Ah, I have a little confession - it’s not my actual car , its just a great image of an identical car that I had to hand ...... oops

Sounds like its the OPC we should all use, very reasonable compared to others.

It’s Porsche Leicester, great to know the quote is good - this may be because when booking in I sent them the price from last time as a polite “aide memoir” combined with the fact I do a lot of business with their service and sales team. I really rate them they are a great bunch. However, as I’m personally not technically very competent (as you may have guessed from this thread), I’m not qualified to comment from a technical perspective (but they do seem very competent to me) . However, what I can say is this; I find them to be really efficient and professional - a great bunch. I speak to Claire , she’s brilliant.
