Dry skin around the eyes and eyelids

Recently (last couple of weeks) i've started getting dry eyelids and dry skin around the eyes (external - not in the eye). It is also making my eyes itch which is making it worse. I've been to pharmacy and now putting on a clear type gel for the eyes which doesn't seem to do that much. Any suggestions?

As a chronic eczema sufferer I get this during the winter, well along with very dry flakey skin on most of my face. ‘Sensitive’ skin doesn’t come close to describing the state of my skin and it seems any moisturiser or emollient my skin ‘rejects’ after a few months of use. That said I currently use Cetraben moisturiser (there is also a lotion) which you can get from boots and I find this is very very good. I’ve used it for the past 3 years or so without adverse impact.

This is what you need. Rub it between your hands so it melts into an oil, and apply to the affected area.

I have very dry, flaky skin on one of my eyelids for about a year, I use this now twice a day and it does the trick:

Note, you'll need to use it for a few weeks to give the skin time to heal/adjust.

Could be Dry Eye. Boots sell some drops for it called Hycosan Extra Preservative Free Eye Drops
