Could anyone help with information on a decent mount to use an iPhone 8plus with the Porsche Track Precision App? I've bookmarked the Rennlist set up page for the app itself.

This mount looks great, but I can't find anything like it online...

I’ve alternated between both of these with my iPhone X

Quad lock
https://www.quadlockcase.co.uk/
or Belkin universal holder
https://www.belkin.com/uk/p/P-F8M978/

I’ve used the Belkin most of the time though.

No worries - my setup looks like this....

Means i can easily reach it also - just above my head... but out of my immediate field of view

Excellent, nice to see how it looks. Thanks again!

Looks like you have the same car history as me, don't suppose you're going to Spa with Goldtrack in April (borders allowing) are you?

How have you got on with that mounting on track days btw?

I only use this mount for track days.... works really well.

For normal day to day I use a mega mount

As for Spa, yep looking at few days next year....over a number of trips.
I’ve seen the Goldtrack and RMA days along with others.... the Goldtrack day is the 23rd April, right? Are you booked?

My first event for the new season will be the RS Day @ Oulton Park

Yeah I'm booked on the Goldtrack 23rd April, be good to see you there if you decide to go.

Just been across the Peak District to Matlock and Buxton today, some empty roads and great fun even at very sensible speeds.

I used the Belkin at the Ring earlier this year and found that there was simply to much vibration so the picture quality wasn’t great.

Which phone did you use and what app settings?

I turn off auto focus and set the focus manually by selecting a point for the camera to target all the time some where in front of me.
optical image Stabilisation is left on… so if you phone supports that you should be good.

I mount in the top corner rather than in the middle of the windscreen as I get much less vibration up there and has worked well enough on UK tracks.
The ring will be much much bumpier… they are doing resurfacing at the moment for some sections iirc, so agree that any windscreen mount based setup will likely be at its limit or beyond there.

It’s a Iphone 7. I didn’t look at the settings but I’ll give what you have suggested a go.
