good sunglasses?

Looking for a decent pair of sunglasses, not bothered about looking cool, not interested in paying ridiculous amounts for designer brands, only interested in performance. Any recommendations?

Can't bring myself to pay over £100 unless there is something incredibly special about them. Seems like this market is infested with 'brands' colluding to drive prices up.

Serengeti have great lenses. I have a pair for driving and also have a pair of Oliver Goldsmith Fred which have a great graded lens.

I bought some of these as I liked the look of them when in an outdoor shop, readily available online.

Hard to fault Ray Bans to be honest, bit of prudent shopping will get you them for well under £100

I can buy into that idea right enough but I was hoping/thinking that there must surely be some sunglasses around that are (a) nicely made and (b) under 50 quid?

From a recommendation here, I bought a Randolph pilot-style frame and have my varifocals (with auto tint) in them,

the frame clamps firmly around the glass lenses, hinges and temples are robust, good piece of kit.

I don´t care if I look like a time-tunneled paedo from the 70s........8-P

I have all sorts of sunglasses inc Rayban and suchlike, but to be honest, if you want really good lenses and good quality build for way less than £100 you need to look at:

Sungods - Several styles to choose from, design your own, and really excellent Polarised lenses for around £60. I find them excellent for driving. Very lightweight.

Here's my choice:

Sadly not going anywhere just yet but think it may be a good idea to give my eyes a bit more protection. Funnily enough I already own a pair pf glasses similar to the ones worn by the gentleman on the right in your picture, except my ones say STOKE CITY TILL I DIE on each lens. I don't really wear these as (a) they are a bit rubbish and (b) I am not a Stoke supporter.

Have an outlet centre near you? Should be able to find something.

I think the quality of the lenses in the big sunglass brands is where the value lies.
