Bah humbug - Sonos
Discussion
Mine lost the Play 3 in the kitchen a couple of days ago. Just stopped playing and disappeared from the app. Tried to add it back 8n, but whilst the app found it, it just wouldn’t connect to it. Had to unplug it for a few mins and then it allowed it back in.
I’m on their beta test app so not sure if it was down to this or something else, as it is usually pretty solid.

Have you tried adding them back as if they are new speakers to the system?
Alternatively you can go into settings, advanced settings and ‘forget current sonos system’
The. s
t down app, relaunch and re-pair the system.
Let us know how you get on.
The Sonos app won’t find the speakers. It didn’t even find the speaker I hard wired to the router!! The app simply won’t find any speakers on my WiFi despite them all being there.Alternatively you can go into settings, advanced settings and ‘forget current sonos system’

I don’t get an option to “forget current Sonos system” which would be ideal.
I get 4 “more” options in the trouble shoot, no advanced settings:
Update wifi settings
Add another Sonos system
About my Sonos system
Submit diagnostics
Probably unrelated but why is my old sky router still listed as a WiFi connection when it’s been unplugged for over a year? The current sky Q router took its place
Have you got a dual band (2.4 and 5ghz) router? Sonos only operates on 2.4ghz so if your phone is connected via 5ghz, it can fail to find the speakers.
I have this occasionally and need to force my phone onto the 2.4 band - at which it’ willl find all the speakers again. I can then usually switch back to 5ghz for moar speeeeedz (tm) and the phone will still see the speakership in the app.

If you’re using IOS make sure you’ve got Bluetooth switched off. I’ve had a nightmare over the last few days losing speakers and audio randomly skipping and cutting out when connected to my iPad. Turns out there is a known issue they’re working on with Bluetooth and iOS.
Sonos is great when it works but it can be a royal pain when it plays up.

It’s the standard Sky Q router and I have an iPhone 5 SE so neither are particularly high spec. The elections have been on and off a lot while builders have finished some work so I think the app and Sonos speakers have got out of sync. I think Sonos finds a dedicated WiFi frequency?Just wish I could access a master reboot option but fear I might need to wait till Sonos helpline open again
iPhone app yes
All the speakers - god knows as I can’t see it, I can’t reset it and I have no “settings” options to do anything to
It was all installed with decent kit hard wired and connected via cat 5 by a Sonos expert.
The only brief joy I got yesterday was when Sonos told me to unplug all the hard wired connect amps and soundbar so only a single play 3 was connected direct to router, they then suggested leaving like that which is hardly satisfactory

As laborious as it sounds, maybe try this with each individual speaker getting them all up to date (if that is even the problem), and adding them back in one by one.Tedious, . . . by Sonos.
eta - out of interest how much Sonos kit do you actually have?

Had similar issues with 3 play
ne units around the house. We changed BB supplier and router to Sky and set up the system.
Fine for a week then the app lost sight of one, sometimes all 3 speakers.
Reconnected, no joy, reset router no joy.
Then randomly it works fine. Then doesn’t.
That was 2 months ago and sonos have been trying. Emails, diagnostics, phone calls - nothing has worked properly. It’s still a 50/50 if we can use them when we want.
