Speed Six failures - not many being reported

Is it just me or has the number of reported Speed Six engine failures fallen away dramatically in the past 6 months?

Heres hoping TVR have fixed the problems.

Well done! I hope you were touching a large rain forest when making statements like that!

It's probably too soon to tell, but the reliability survey would make interesting reading in another 6 months or so and I've no doubt the stats will look far better

I could report 3 in the last 6 months just to muck up your figures, all with the old symptoms, two on 03 cars and one on a slightly older car, but I wont...

Hey, UpTheIron - I noticed that the Irons are actually getting promoted. First time I can remember this happening! Good luck to 'em!

(I grew up in Scawby, then lived at the bottom of Donny Hill, went to High Ridge/Leggot/Tech Col up in sunny Scunny).

Indeed they are...went up in '99 as well, only to go down the following season. I only managed to get to a measly 34 games this year! Most in the Tuscan though

My parents are from Brigg, so just down the road from Scawby, before they moving to Scotter, which is where I spent my first 18 years. In fact I was back in Scawby last year when an old friend got married there.

If you went to High Ridge there is a fair chance my mother taught you at some point (as a supply teacher).

And now we both live in Wycombe. Small world.

I can't remember many teachers names though - sorry. Did you go to Fred Gough?

Didn't realise Scunny were promoted before - must pay more attention (I lived abroad for a bit - that's my excuse anyway).

Didn't go to Fred Gough. Couldn't bear the thought of being taught by my mother, who was a supply teacher who worked all over Humberside.

So I went to Gainsborough Grammar (QEHS) instead. Dead posh I am, like. Not.

Er.... go & have a look at the car park @ TVR Power, last time I went, even the speed six engined courtesy car had the engine out

They may be having engine upgrades!, Also, if you look at any specialst garage, especially one that deal primarily in engines, you are going to see a lot of cars with engines out!

I'm waiting to see how the rebuilds since NS took over fair. I've done 6k miles in mine this year and will know better when the tappets are checked next week. Any signs of wear and I'll be screaming for blood.
