Well we do have the worst present thread already, so what was your best?

For me, box set 1 of Kate Bush, and car related, a gearless ratchet spanner...

This is "Quarante-quatre"... from my GF's parents.

44 coffee beans, inserted into an orange, 44 sugar cubes, and a couple of litres of "eau de vit" - grandad's homebrew fruit brandy.

Needs to be left for 44 days... but better after 3 years it seems. Amazing coffee and orange liqueur! We were drinking some from 2015 on Christmas eve. Pretty potent, especially when you start eating the orange!

Completely unbeknown to both myself and the wife, our 2 daughters had arranged a photo shoot of our 3 dogs back in November, below is what we opened on Christmas day:

To say we are thrilled with the result is an understatement.

Finally closing on the house we wanted. Took a while, but we got there in the end.

Closed today about 5 mins before closing time.

Now to furnish, decorate etc!

Well done matey and Happy Christmas!

We’ve been selling now for 12 months, 3 lost houses, one lost buyer and a load of agro I had no idea would be associated with selling and buying.

Currently in NY enjoying the ‘American Christmas’, off to NY City again tomorrow to see the Harlem Globetrotters at Madison Square Garden which will be fun and a bit more sightseeing.

Trust you’re well and enjoying life thumbup

And my best present.....

Thank you and Merry Christmas to you me old buddy.

All good here thank you - back in Blighty for xmas. Wife is getting grumpy not having Champagne for Christmas. Who knew being pregnant was such a drag!!

We are wondering about NYC for some snow next year...see what 2019 brings!

Awesome pressie from the wife - one of my family had something very similar done. Kinda tempted to get something big done for the new pad!

Hope all is good with you thumbup
