What's this car, jaguar perhaps?

At about 1m 37 can anybody identify the white car in the outside lane. Some sort of jaguar maybe? Or. 0.09 from the end of the clip.

At 1:37 there is no car in the outside lane.
At 1:42/ 0:09 from the end there is a white or cream coloured car in the distance in the outside lane which looks like a Ford Granada or Cortina when it gets closer.

Or do you mean the convertible in the middle lane, that comes into shot at 1:41?

It's at about 0.11 from the end, yes, middle lane. My mistake.

I can't see any headlights on it. I think it has a tiny windscreen and rear vents into the wheel arches.

I'm not aware of any of those being road registered, and the car in question seems rather larger. (It does have intakes behind the cockpit though). I'm leaning towards a Lister knobbly at the moment, and hope I get a clearer image on the PC later.

Just had another look - definitely front-engined and I'm 98% sure it's a Lister. On trade plates too.

Grill at front doesn’t look like a lister for me, also has a wing mirror for near side, I thought they had a centre mirror on a stalk?
It just doesn’t look “curvy” enough in my very humble opinion.
It does have a similar front to the Aston DB3 S but they usually had a pod behind the drivers head instead of a hoop, also usually not a full screen, only in front of the driver.
Of course, it being road use then the customer spec will vary, but it’s the grill that puts me off a Lister.........
The height of it made me think Lotus Eleven, but the grill seems wrong for that too.....

Maybe the blue stripes of American racing colours are messing up the image. The grille shape still looks Lister to me. The vents for cooling rear brakes are in the right place too.

Not many kit cars around in those days.........

Has the look of a Chaparral 2 about it........but obviously can't be.
