Wifey is looking for a m135 to replace her c220d (lease has ran its course) We went to look at this AUC from Teeside BMW earlier
https://www.inchcape.co.uk/bmw/cars/used-cars/bmw-...

It looks in good nick however I’m not overly keen on black given it’s a pita to keep clean

There is a few cheaper / earlier models around however and I’m tempted to buy a early model and save 3-4K

What do you think? Are the facelift cars much difference?

It looks around the right price for year/mileage.

I own one, do you have any specific questions?

They are great cars for cruising around in and then having decent performance available when it’s called on. My car does low 20s in normal town traffic and I did 38mpg on quiet motorway running over this Christmas (over about 500 miles).

The standard exhaust is very quiet so either the bmw performance exhaust for a bit mor noise or an aftermarket one if you want it to be more vocal.

Also have one and agree with everything above

They are quite spec dependent. Harmon, pro NAV and auto are musts for me though.

I'd go facelift, they made quite a few small improvements and it will always be more desirable/ easier to sell on. Worth making sure it's an Auto with Nav though, and HK is very nice to have as mentioned. Should be doable for £18k in today's market.

Having said that, a late pre-facelift could be an Ok buy if it's quite a lot cheaper. Some of the improvements got added earlier in the cycle like the touchpad iDrive, 'EWG' engine, Bluetooth Audio streaming and the new design M-Sport steering wheel. But for all of those it would need to be a mid-2014 car.

I’ll check out babybmw cheers

Spec wise we are very easy going, heated seats where the only must and it has them

I might pop back over tomorrow morning to check what/if it has sat nav and HK

mpg isn’t an issue for us thankfully, she only averages around 9k per year

What’s the deal with warranties on AUC’s? Can you pay to keep on a bmw warranty?

From looking at the pictures I can tell you it doesn’t have nav or hk

Cars with no nav: have a textured surround on the screen and have a naff idrive controller

Cars with business nav: square screen with glossy glass surround and nicer idrive controller.

Pro nav: nice large widescreen and from MY14 onwards a large idrive controller with touchpad on top.

You can spot hk or the advanced sound system as there are tweeter covers on the doors whereas the base system has no tweeters. Hk has silver tweeter covers with harman kardon written on them.
