MK2 focus ST steering rack change

Has anyone swapped the steering rack on a focus ST? Does the subframe need to be dropped or can I get away without doing this??
Are there any how-to guides out there as I can't find anything.

Yes youd need to drop the subframe, the rack is bolted to the top side of it.

Theres nothing specific about the mk2 ST, the same process applies to it as per any mk2 focus, and most cars in general really.
