Sounds like one of my exhaust manifolds has the classic crack at the junction of the four pipes. Doesn’t seem too bad as only really noticeable when cold or really pushing on. Clearly removing and getting welded or replacing is the way to go. However, I don’t really fancy removing the manifold just now so was considering trying a repair. I’ve seen others try fire cement & glassfibre (with some reasonable results) and was wondering if something like quiksteel could also work.

Anyone got experience of repairs and how long they lasted or any recommendations/ tips (or a spare passenger side manifold lying around!).

Cheers
Andrew

I used fire cement on mine some years ago. It's messy and awkward to push the cement in between the pipes, I fabricated a couple of bent push bars to assist. Getting the consistency right helps, not too sloppy, not too firm. Mine held for a several years, I reapplied cement once but gave up eventually and swapped the manifolds for ACT decats
