Got a Motorhome

In the area we have a problem with people breaking 8nto them to pinch stuff

I’m not worried about the whole thing being stolen as it’s got various security like bollards, stop lock, blocked in etc

What I am worried about is someone forcing the coach work doors to steal £10 quids worth of stuff, causing a potential economical write off / massive repair bill

My cunning plan is to leave it unlocked but join up a bunch of sirens to the internal lights, so when the doors are open it will cause them to panic and I should be able to hear it

I m leaving it unlocked to prevent physical damage

Of course when I’m out and about it is locked as it’s full of gear

So can any one recommend me some simple 12volt sirens

Cheers

Various car horns wired up together would make for an easy solution. Just get some second hand ones.

Cheers, I was think8ng car horns, but they are pretty heavy and bulky I’m planning to try and incorporate them in the light fitting and have a switch to disable them

If it helps in another application the master blaster 240v motorised siren is amazing.
It’s stopped dead with a nail though so needs protection but so very loud.

For detection why not fit s few viper shock sensors?

I was robbed twice in France while freelancing for MMM magazine. My digital Fuji kit and the wife's handbag and leather jacket
were taken on the first occasion, During 3 mins in a supermarket car park in Avignon, another lot got...

My laptop,
Full Nikon F90X kit with lenses, flash etc.
All my exposed flims and all my feature notes

This was with being in brand new motoromes on English plates. Usually, alams were
not a stadard fitment so I tried two things.

I got a set of four freestadning alarms with motion detection. I think they were from Friedland and could be
armed together from one remote. Battery powered, 98dB each and on test, they hurt.

The first voleur screwdrivered the door open when wifey and I were in the back asleep (at a lorry parc ferme).
To stop this happening again, I simply used one of those tie down straps looped across the inner door pulls on the cab doors (Fiat Ducato.
No danger of unathorised entry or carjackiing but easy to release in the event of fire.
