Is there a Deltic on display anywhere down south? I’ve done a quick search on the net, but it only leads me to complete locomotives or the unit in the NRM.

Any help gratefully received.

Thank you. I’ll check that out later. I’m in Suffolk so that’d be handy.

Great set up and loads of them to look at - in situ, cut aways etc. Went a few years back and it was brilliant.

Still too far north for a day trip for me, sadly.
Man up Tony - I'm in London and managed it in a day trip to go on an outing with my Dad there. Organise it around one of their bigger open days when they've got trains running and things, then it'll be worth it. It is definitely the best place to see Deltics in the UK - there's a whole room full of them with loads of history, trains you can go inside, spares on racks etc etc.

So you've had a few solutions, that aren't very far away but still no good? frown

I mean it's not even that far to York to see the one there.

In my second post, third in this thread, I gave a positive response to a suggestion.
York is too far for me with my limited free time. That’s why I started the thread.
