I’ve just got my 997 GTS back from service, brakes and spark plugs and something weird is happening.

With the heater on full, as I corner left a cold breeze blows across me from somewhere in the left footwell.

Is there anything that could have been messed with during the service which would cause this?

Most odd.

This is a long shot but under the steering wheel column there are some bulkhead glands, basically rubber inserts in the bulkhead between the cockpit and the elements. Perhaps one of these came loose? You may be able to see daylight or feel a hole down there.

Thanks.

A bit weird, but I have been Googling this and apparently the problem can be caused by cool air being trapped beneath hot air and then behaving like a liquid - i.e. sloshing around during cornering.

The heater had been cranked up to full (it never is when I drive usually) and I wonder whether that was causing it.

I've driven it tonight with the heating lower and I haven't noticed it.
