how many cerberas

now that cerb production has ceased, does anyone
know the total number of cerbs made? jaguar have their
own archives department which can tell you how many
of any model were made, eng number, gearbox number,
original colour it left the factory, and to which
dealership it was sent for sale. does anyone know if
TVR keep such information? or perhaps the tvrcc?

I am sure TVR have got some really messy files with half the pages missing, a bit dog eared, inaccurate, inconsistent etc - I am sure these have the details!?

One thing for sure this winter's mad driving ensured Cerbs are rarer now than last summer. Numerous posts from owners with pictures of their wrecked cars and stories that didn't seem to fit together very well!

I've just been looking around for insurance renewals and some brokers are loading Tuscans, Cerberas and Tamoras due to increased claim activity for these cars.......

Educated guesses seem to be between 1200 - 2000. Thats about as close as anyone has really got on this subject

Wheeler hinted less than a thousand, and my sources concur.

The remaining number on the roads is less than 500.

The cerberas did not sell in the bucket loads as the chims/griffs did.

And many on the roads have had more than 3 owners.

MANY just dissapeared, and as glassfibre has no resale value, they just get trashed so you wont find one at a local scrapyard, unless it hasnt been broken down by the breakers yet.

Oh, and dont forget Wheelers words "the cerbera was my worst mistake".... sad but true... he just never got the sales he thought the 2+2 grand-tourer would achieve.... sadly.
