Hi guys,

I'm looking for a 75" 4K TV for the office wall. Long story short, we're opening a dental microscope training academy so it will spend most of it's time plugged into a Sony A7 camera attached to a 4k adapter which is using the microscope as a lens.

Not too interested in whether it's a 'smart' tv and it won't be hooked up to an aerial or a TV source other than occasionally an Apple TV.

Spotted this in Costco last weekend for under £1k ex VAT https://www.costco.co.uk/c/Toshiba-75U6763DB-4K-Ul...

Don't particularly want to spend more than I need to and buying new from a VAT registered business suits us.

Any advice appreciated smile

That particular model is end of life, not many reviews of it ... and of those none particularly favourable.

Richer Sounds has a slightly later model for the same price, but you need to bear in mind these are at the very bottom of the price range for 75" panels.

A visit to Richer Sounds if you can would be a good move to see them "in the flesh", they'll let you plug your camera in and have a play.

Richer Sounds include a 6 year guarantee on TV's. There range of 75" models is here:

Thanks for the advice, you're not the first person to mention Richer Sounds so looks like that's the place to go. Don't mind spending more if it's worth it and it'll make a noticeable difference but it won't be used all that often.

Been looking for a new tv just this morning and found this.

No idea if its any good but this seems ridiculous value. Im sorely tempted but not sure if its too big for my room;

£999 LG 75 inch 4k

Seems to be reasonable for the price:

Do these come in sections or does one have to take a wall out to get them in?

Given that that behemoth of a screen is 1.7m long, I'm not so sure! hehe

I did think that perhaps I am the only person who has figured out how to take it through a doorway vertically rather than out flat hehe

I currently have a 55 inch. Just looked at the comparison - yeah its WAY too big for me.

Apparently 85.96% more screen area!

To save the messing I've ordered that bundled with the bracket for £1,050. I'll get the VAT back and it'll do the job I'm sure!

What are you using the Apple TV for? The LG actually is a very competent smart TV, we use one in our training room and Miracast/WiDi is great, you can use it as a wireless display for all sorts of devices.

PS: Holy crap, never thought that 75" would be such a difference to the 65" we have.

Aside from the training, it'll probably end up with Netflix on it occasionally and perhaps airplay from an Apple device. I don't see it being used for anything else. I've just measured up the wall it's going on and it really is a bit of a monster at 75" - makes the 55" in the upstairs office look like a computer monitor.

We use our Apple TV for everything. Have hundreds of iTunes films and tv shows on top of Netflix, prime, iPlayer etc.

We used to have boxes for screen mirroring, netflix, plex and youtube, but with the new LG TV I find the built in functionality to be great. iTunes probably won't work smile Don't know about iplayer.

Yeah to be fair it’s only on one tv. The main one is a Sony Bravia Android tv which has basically everything too. It’s a great unit.
