BMW E60 530D - Railpressure too low
Discussion
Hello people,
A few weeks ago while driving I recently suffered from a sudden loss of power, the car went in a limp mode, followed by slowing down gradually until stand still.
While it is slowing down, it doesn't react on the gas pedal, I can send it to the emergency lane after which it comes to a standstill.
The first time he did that, I had it towed to the nearest petrol station.
Once there, I tried to start the car and that worked. So I thought, sporadic failure?
I went on with the trip, a week later it happened again, while in the emergency lane, I switched everything off, closed the car off and waited for a moment, after a minute or two of waiting it started again.
If you try to start immediately after such an incident, the starter motor continues crank in an accelerated fashion but does not ignite.
I decided to continue driving. Now a few weeks later, it happens more and more often ... I have again prepared a windows machine with INPA, now I have the car read and have some clue. Following error codes came out.
After searching around the internet I hear different stories, some people solved it by replacing the diesel filter.
Funny enough I have a new diesel filter laying around for a year now, collecting dust, going to replace it this weekend.
Could I check the pressure sensor under the bonnet? If so, can someone help me with instruction, much appreciated!
