"Please be vigilant as I just came across a mid 20's, slim build, black beard, bald suspicious man wearing a black track suit walking around our neighbouring field, very sweaty and nervous.
"He walk (sic) to the bottom then stood in the woodland, walk back up. I asked him what he was doing and he said he had an accident?.
"Our road is private and so is the field. He walked off on the phone and didn't want to chat. There was no reason for him to be there!"
She added: "Called police as he's dropped a bloodied hat in a field."

Absolutely shaking with rage at this one - the victim was with his 14 yr old son.
Utter, utter scum - there's no limit to punishment I'd want to inflict on the killer.
Geez, hadn't heard he was with his son at the time, it was a brutal killing regardless, it just makes it even more shocking!Utter, utter scum - there's no limit to punishment I'd want to inflict on the killer.
This latest death is truly troubling. A packed train in broad daylight, with families around.
What is driving this complete disregard for human life?
Knives arent the problem. They are a symptom. You cant ban knives. Even if the Govt somehow did, these animals would find a way around it.
What (if anything) can be done?

I am going to go out on a limb here but i think there is a pretty good chance this asshat has severe mental health issues. What is driving this complete disregard for human life?

so a joined up well funded mental health service might be a good start

Probably a completely random act of badness from an individual with demons inside their head
Or less likely an alpha grade gangster
Both scenarios impossible to imagine getting involved with as an innocent bystander, and both vanishingly improbable
RIP to the guy who's been murdered, but I dont think this is a common occurrence.
No consolation for his family though.....
Cheers

The attack is confusing too, as they say they both got on at London Road, the attacker got off at Clandon (less than 5 minutes from London Road) and then the man was found stabbed at Horsley (the next stop)
Shocking to hear.
The wife was saying that he was stabbed at or on the way to Clandon, the attacker got off at Clandon and the train continued to Horsley with the stabbed man on the train, I guess the alarm was raised after the attacker got off and it had already started off towards Horsley which is only a matter of minutes away from Clandon, I would imagine it would be better to continue to a station as opposed to stopping somewhere random, in between stations? Shocking to hear.
