As part of a relocation offer I can claim compensation for the difference in current retail book value and the actual sale price when I sell my car.

Can any enlightened ones suggest which might be the most favourable guide to use for a 98 996 C2, and what the current retail book value might be?

Still can't get US dealers to respond to emails about 997 to replace it with though.

CAP hits cars far harder than Glasses, so it's the one to use Equally, call an OPC that is awash with these cars and get them to give you a price - I doubt they'd write to you with a written offer though!

My plan is to get a quote from an OPC and a couple of independents. To be fair to my generous employer, I ought to try and sell for more than that. Say 1K above the dealer offer........

I did this with my 3.2 when I was sent to NY...believe me your employer is unlikely to worry about a grand here or there...
I had two colleagues at the bank keen to buy it, one came through in the bidding war.. all part of the game

From parkers.co.uk........

Porsche 911 Coupé
Carrera 2d 1998/R
Average mileage: 10,000 miles/Yr
Cost New ('98) £ 64825
Franchised Dealer £ 34010
Independent Dealer £ 33180
Private Good £ 30970
Private Poor £ 24610
Part Exchange £ 29030

After all, Parkers is a retail price guide, so I could be in with a chance.......
