My girlfriend's grandfathers car believed photo 1918 in Ireland

The grille looks a similar shape to an Isotta Fraschini but they usually has a round emblem, not square?

It looks a fairly big car, and I'm tending towards an American marque. The shape of the radiator was commonplace at the time, but it's not a Fiat, Buick or Chalmers which were my first guesses.

The windscreen and supporting braces suggest the car had a "Cape Hood" type of weather protection.

In those days, a manuafacturer built a bare chassis, and sold it to be complete by a carriage builder. The body work may vary between cars built by the same manufacturer. As said, the radiator may be the only common factor.

Could it be a Talbot?

Lower radiator cut-outs were not a Buick feature so I agree it's probably not that.

Because a Buick has a narrower top to the radiator.

I was going to add that Buick attached a very large "Buick" in script on the radiator, but I've now found out that that wasn't always the case.
