I finally bought a 500 Griff, picked it up yesterday. A little older than I originally wanted but its a 96 P Reg car with 20k on the clock and I got Rob Ingleby to inspect the car before I bought it.

I have to say I am dead chuffed. I think one end of my grin is in Bristol and the other in Manchester!

If rob found it for you then it'll be a good one, don't worry about the age - it's all about how it drives and feels. a cheap private plate and no-one would know the age really anyway.
happy griffing ...

Yep, I would recommend Rob to anyone who is looking to buy a TVR, a smashing bloke who seems to really know his stuff. I'm off out for another burn......

Anyone know what car the red reflector found on the inside bottom corner of the door is off? One of mine dropped off, the black base must have been cracked. Oh well, nothing major, I expected something to pack up, after all its a TVR

No idea, but knowing TVR it may well be off a bicycle

Welcome Keith to TVR ownership after a few more runs out you won't worry about a small reflector falling off, pure fun.

Nearly 400 miles later and nothing else has dropped off the car and I am having great fun blasting down the local country roads, that engine noise is SOOOO gorgeous.

The only thing that concerns me is when I switch the engine off, there is a sound a bit like bearing noise. Anyone else had this problem or know what it is?

Other than that, the car is fantastic, the handling is way better than my old wedge or my 3000M and the sheer grunt is incredible. The cooling system works as well, which is more than could be said for my previous TVRs!

Yep that was me, thanks for the chat! I had a look at a few Griffs before I had Rob inspect a Blue '96 500 on Monday which I bought on Friday.
