Guys,

Has anyone come across any engine mountings that will allow me to put a 1990 2.0 Sierra DOHC engine into my 1982 Geep without fabrication?

regards,

Simon

Not over familiar with this one - is the block
Pinto or CVH based?
Pinto - then RS2000 alloy mounts (which may be similar to standard pinto Sierra mounts - anyone know?)
CVH - Mr Kilford Sir??? Which did you use for your 1800 cvh Geep???
I've driven my xflow home from work on less than 4 cylinders - let me know how you get on!

Hi Panther (the Samuri) is using the Sierra 1.8 CVH alloy mounts. The advantage of the Samuri is that all I needed to do was cut back the original mounts then weld a flat plate over and just drill and tap to take the CVH mounts including the oil filled mounting rubbers.

Usually the DOHC engine is an updated version of the Pinto.

The 2.3 Diesel in How Many Badgers Geep is mounted on custom made (by yours truly) engine mounts using four (yes four) mounting points on the engine.

When work allows I will get the info pack sorted for the member who wants the info.

The block is the pinto but has a double ohc instead of the old SOHC. Sounds like I might have to modify the existing alloy mounts but as I do have to modify the gearbox mounts anyway I guess it won't be too bad.

Thanks for the info.
