depends which car you're reffering to. the factory claim the cerberas lose power in the mid range with sports exhausts on, can't see how myself seeing as the pipework is virtually identical inside the std rear box compared to sports tailpipes but I'm not aware of any before and after power runs that prove this one way or the other. As Danny l-t rightly points out on another thread, there's a great variation in seemingly identical car's engine power outputs that comparing one car with another is pretty pointless ie trying to compare one 4.5 cerbie on std box to one with sports pipes. maybe you could have your car on the rollers before and after and put this topic to bed once and for all?

In some cases power has been lost, but only with totally different from standard systems, not straight through versions of the standard layout.

Yes. see www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=17485&f=8&h=0

Doesn't matter how many times you ask the question us old hands will keep coming back with the same old answers...

It would for that particular car but it may not be representitive of others. The problem is also what type of sports exhausts as they are so many including weld your owns these days.
