Rather nice light metallic blue Cerbera with silver spiders parked in one of the residential roads behind Surbiton Station, funny I have seen hundreds of pictures of them but they seem much lower, longer and meaner looking close up in the flesh. Its taking all the willpower I have not to go and blow my savings on a nice second hand one very soon!

With the lack of reliability of my AJP Sp6 ownership can't be that bad!
I should defect. Whatever flack you get from V8 owners - that's nothing compared to the mockery of getting onto first name terms with the drivers at the tow company.
Well chaps, just sold my TR6 today, so I guess the "bad boy cerbera" is one step closer to becoming a reality, so I thought I would post one of those rambling dithering what should I get posts.
Still considering a few other possibilities, e-type 4.2 fixed head coupe, 964 911, R33 Skyline, or Chim. So far have test driven 964, very nice to drive, RS spec suspension but alas just another 911 when you see it parked up. Tried two e-types, very nice, still look special even 40 odd years on, but both examples were in very poorly bodged sheds Skyline, well should try one, but myriad of models and specs, suppose if one got anything less than a GTR one would always be thinking hmmm, got the poor relation here, again fairly unremarkable plastic interiors, only the R34 GTR really looks that good on the outside, matter of taste I suppose.
Another consideration is resale value, classics tend to hold their value pretty well, Skyline probably be the fastest depreciator, 911 probably not far from its lowest value so not bad, then there's the TVRs, definitely future classics guess prices will drop a bit more before they bottom out.
So have resisted trying the best till last as I know I will be hooked in a an instant. The Chim would be the most sensible option in my kind of price range but I must admit none of the above look as good as the Cerb, with the exception of the e-type, and definitely none of them are in the same league performance wise. Guess will have to have a few more test drives and a lot of cold showers before I finally slap my wad on the table, so to speak.
