SO I was recently comparing the side panels of my Z4C3.0si to my Z4Mcoupe (and to my dads Z4M Roadster) as I could swear the Z4MC has a squatter look. Anyway I noticed on the passenger side the side skrt panel juts ut a litte and looks great, I realised it does not look like this on my 3.0siCoupe nor on the Roadster.

So I though perhaps it has some special M coupe styling.

HOWEVER I then go around to the drivers side of the Z4MCoupe and it had the bog standard sideskirt panel as per on the other cars

WTF?????

IS this some sort of after market part? I cant see why it would only be on oneside.

I even wondered if anyone knew the history of this car. it is a grey coupe with two tone leather and CSL alloys if that narrows it down enough to jog anyone's memory?

I cant really believe it has taken me 2 years to notice this!!!

My guess is that the flared skirt you talk about is the aero-kit skirt as someone else has mentioned. They were fitted by a few of us early on, and became a popular upgrade. Unfortunately, obtaining them now is difficult as BMW ran out of stock. My guess is something happened to the drivers side (maybe damaged) and either a bodyshop unknowingly ordered and fitted the standard part and/or they were unable to obtain the aero skirt.

As above. If they look the same either side as this car then yes you've got one 'aero' skirt and one standard.

Problem you have now is they are NLA from BMW, although apparently there may be a small amount of stock left over of just the right hand side ones in the USA.
