Commercial coffee machine for office
Discussion
Just thought I would check with the PH collective before jumping into this...
We need a coffee machine that makes up for 30-40 coffees a day (max - often 10-15). We've got a much bigger office now and the existing Delonghi machine just isn't up to it. Also, machines like this only have a domestic warranty
Looking at the Jura JX8

This is the deal I was looking at. It basically works out at £110+VAT per month for 3 years and includes a 3-year warranty (this is quite important as I don't want to be messing around trying to get it fixed). Also come with quite a good starter package - coffee for 2000 drinks, 1000 takeaway cups, various mugs and glasses, consumables etc.
Any thoughts? Is this a good deal? Is there a better machine for our needs that would cost less. Would love to pay less
Thanks in advance

Have you considered a serviced contract from the like of Eden Springs? It may work out cheaper, it may not, but it will certainly be easier.

I see they have an offer advertised where there is no capital outlay and you only pay for drinks actually consumed:

No harm in getting a quote.

Why not just get a second DeLonghi to use alongside your existing one?
I have one at home, makes between 6 and 10 cups a day. I've just checked the statistics, and it's made 8555 cups in just over 3 years. Never missed a beat.
I wouldn't trust it on the busy days unfortunately. If it breaks it a pain with the warranty. Also, it doesn't really do milk drinks very well - really looking for one that does at the touch of a button. Makes great coffee though.I have one at home, makes between 6 and 10 cups a day. MIght get a quote from them - see they do the Jura stuff as well. Like the idea of the pay for drinks, but the machines don't look great. Don't really want capsule/packet type systems. Appreciate the link though.https://www.edensprings.co.uk/coffee

I realise you don't want a capsule type system, (presumably for cost reasons?) but fyi we use a Nespresso Gemini 220 for a similar volume of coffee. Super consistent coffee, good milk option, and good support. The Jura machines held up well at my previous job, current employer isn't so kind!
At home I have a Delonghi ECAM bean to cup and the missus loves it. Doesn't do very much work but aside from a silicon pipe it's been brilliant for the last oooh (checks folder with receipts) 8 years or so. It was a £300 purchase, so not cheap cheap but decent tier.
The only thing to avoid (IMHO) are the ones that hold milk, unless you do a lot of posh coffee it's not worth the hassle and a fiddle to clean.

Our current machine works, but it’s ridiculously loud in the mornings, which is rough when everyone’s still half-asleep 😅 So we’re thinking about getting a more sensible coffee maker for work. Preferably something quieter and a bit more dependable.
