Obviously I'll be returning my car to BMW but just in case this turns out to be a coincidence (extremely unlikely) I thought I'd post up my issue.

Just had my 58 plate 125i in to BMW for the battery cable recall. I didn't realise when I first drove the car back but it now seems I'm not getting any air blowing through the windscreen or footwell vents and the temperature is stuck on hot - no cold air or aircon.

The blower unit is working and blowing air as it should and all the HVAC controls appear to be working (all lights come on when the buttons are pressed) however no matter what I press the only thing I can actually control is the blower speed.

It appears whatever controls the motors that adjust the air direction has been broken or disconnected when they were fiddling around behind the dashboard. Putting the fans on full it actually sounds like they are blocked.

Is this potentially an easy fix to save me the hassle of returning the car to BMW? Blown fuse perhaps?

I'm a little worried the garage will try and say this was an existing fault or has happened since and deny responsibility.

For my E92 there was the battery recall and a recall for the blower controller plug, not sure if yours had been subject to that recall as well.

Might be worth checking that as well, could be they checked and something got dislodged.

Turned out to be one of the wires going to the blower connector coming loose. Bit strange as the blower was still running.
