DIsclosure first I do work for a Royal Enfield Dealer, but these are my own personal thoughts...

Had my first opportunity to ride new Twins at a Training event this morning.
Rode the Continental GT first, and was amazed at just how good it was, the Engine feels a lot stronger than
the claimed 47bhp , the fuelings really smooth, Engine as I said plenty of smooth power, pulls from 1500rpm
in top, Good handling (apparently Harris Performance where involved) and decent brakes.
Sounds lovely as well!

Demo bikes will be in your local RE dealer before the end of the month.

From the pics I’ve seen they look good, are they physically much bigger than a Bullett? Where do they start pricing wise.

They look great and are well priced. Enough power for the target market. I think they will sell loads

Yeah, really liking them. Harris designed frames too, so should be good fun.

Have been running a Himalayan for the last 160000 miles. Been very impressed with that bar the odd niggle.

Tempted by a 650 Continental. I think RE are definitely on the rise.

I wish they’d make the KX v-twin concept bike they displayed!

It's almost certain to happen now they've got the twins finished, but the next model will
almost certainly be a 650 Twin Version of the Himalayan, which after riding the Interceptor
yesterday makes total sense....

I thought these had been out for a year already, are they only just making it into dealers? I presume royal enfield must have had a lot of teething problems to delay it so long.

They do look the business, proper classic styling without the faux-retro look that so many newer bikes have. Been thinking about getting a naked bike for a while, and though I was wanting something a bit more powerful than this I do fancy a test ride.

Our local Royal Enfield dealer burnt down but I did think they looked great for the money.

I have to say though, does the build quality not put any of you off? I mean I know things are over reported on the internet, but some of the stories (and large action legal cases in some countries) regarding Royal Enfield do make me wonder if this perhaps more a case of "you pays your money you makes your choice", rather them them being a good value purchase.

I’m hoping that as this is being launched as a ‘world’ bike from the get-go and has been designed in Europe the engineering will be solid.

I know a few people who run Bullets and yeah, they’re not great. The current Bullet is just a product of 60 years fiddling (and probably using some of the original tooling etc) where the new bikes are being designed from scratch. I’m hoping the low price is more as a result of the economy of scale than as a result of bargain basement materials...

The realised that they had to be well built, but one reason for the delay came to light this week, not only are they Euro 4 compliant but apparently
they'll pass the upcoming Euro 5 regulations as well with no modifications.

They had problems with the Himalayans at first, and they don't want a repeat of those issues, all I can tell you is that they're easily as good as
their competition, and the 4 production bikes I was playing with earlier this week where really solid.

I firmly believe that they're going to surprise people with the quality of the twins...

Good luck to them and I wouldn't rule out buying one by any means but the new generation SV650 is pretty tough competition for the thinking man.

We sell both brands and I have a new SV650X immediately behind my desk and it's a belter of a bike, but i reckon the Twins are at least as good in terms of build quality...

Genuinely good for them. Its more than Triumph can manage. I chopped in a 765 Street for a SV650 and find the build quality to be miles ahead. The Street was shocking really - have no idea how they keep shifting them.

An endless supply of hipsters who spend more time grooming beards than riding?
