Seen this advertised and think it’s a good buy for home garage fitness?
But if weight loss and added fitness.

Is this any good/any better options available that I’m over looking

Cheap road bike and a turbo trainer as an option? (without mentioning smart trainers, zwift etc)

That way when you get bored you have a bike to get out on and it'll be more enjoyable.

I have a cheap York fitness exercise bike, hasn't been used in years as I found it difficult to stay motivated on it.

It is most likely junk.

Buy a proper comercial grade one. Used ones aren’t mega bucks.

Whenever the subject of exercise machines comes up, I always recommend recumbent gym bikes like this: https://amzn.to/2CWG0sW

I bought one in 2003 or thereabouts and have pretty much used it every week since.

Apparently, you don't burn as many calories, but for any other bicycle (real or gym), I wouldn't be using it and it would be in the garage or loft, thus burning no calories at all.

It doesn't get boring because it's like sitting on a chair - I can read a book, watch a video on YT, call someone on the phone or reply to an email, and it keeps my fitness levels up especially during the winter months when I play tennis far less than I'd like to. Crank it up to 8 (max setting on my bike) and I can do some moderate leg work; at level 1, it's great for an active rest day.
