Well, I never knew...

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/prepare-to-drive-in-th...

When they say trailer gross weight (750kg/3500kg), do they mean MAM as plated or something different?

Cheers

There is a lot we don’t know about leaving the EU. Then again
a) nobody told the piblic
b) Most of the electorate were not competent/bothered to find out for themselves.

That covers commercial trailers but I wonder if the traditional British homemade trailer will be affected too? I understand the continentals were rather bregrudging their use so we may find only "proper" plated trailers are allowed in future too.

c) both sides of the campaign lied through their teeth...

Not for the trailers greater than 3500kg. Is that actually a thing for non-commercial trailers?

Could be a bit of a headache for a few weeks after any date while things get clarified, similar to the hire car situation when counterparts got ditched and even the hire co staff didn't have a clue what was meant to be going on.... That said, think of taking a UK car out of the EU currently, you're either told at the border to pay up as per bosnia or you're meant to get a vignette in switzerland but very few know about it and the border officials certainly didnt care any of the times I've been. My guess would be if we end up with no deal then I'd expect to follow the same rules that would apply for someone bringing a trailing in to the EU from somewhere like Bosnia - whatever those are.

Would be nice if the first sentence in the gov.uk link didn't include the word 'may' lol
