The other half's web company have just done a site for Dunlop tyres and one of the vids on it is of a Hayabusa vmaxing at Brunters - it doesn't quite reach 200mph but the acceleration from 120 to 170 is astonishing!!

www.injection.tv - go into the 'thrill' section and then into 'speed'

Well that really did seem to be Vmax - it stabilised at 190 something mph on the speedo, yet still left him plenty of time to brake. As you say, judging from the speedo the acceleration was absolutely boggling.

Bikers, barking mad, the lot of them!

Booo, can't see the vids here. I assume they're streaming real media or something equally proxy-unfriendly.

On the list to attend and could bring my GSX-R1000 along. Perhaps Phatgixxer and I could give a few pillion rides at lunchtime?!

Bringing the Jag?
The Jag blew a head gasket and melted the cylinder lining Gaz. So much for chiping! Fixed it and sold it.

I've done that!

I had my Busa at Brunters a couple of years ago, and the needle stabilised at 205mph on the clock. This equated to a true 189mph through the timing beam. The run was from a standing start. There was also plenty of space (approx a quarter of a mile) to brake. I had previously seen 217mph on the clock with a bit more of a run up!

This was on a pre-litigation 220mph speedo'd Busa. The later versions had 190mph speedos.

Here's a pic at max chat!

Cheers

PS - Would happily bring my 2005 Fireblade to the next V-max if Craig would allow.
