1.Always use it, better performance/cleaner engine
2.Use any super (98 ron) petrol (its all the same)
3.Use standard 95 Ron (as per handbook)
4.Local MOT/Garage/Grease monkey (Special Mix)

Optimax only.
Ran the Vitara on it and now Miss Daisy.
Only thing I will swap Optimax for is VMAX

In the UK I always use Shell optimax. In France I use any Super Sans plomb as its all good stuff.

In france the car is noticeably louder on the over run!

I use Optimax 95% of the time. The odd long motorway cruise has resulted in me deciding std 95 will do, but that is very very rare. Its only a few p per litre more (I avoid motorways service stations like the plague though).

The only time I have ever heard my car pink was on BP 95 RON (my dealer has 1 petrol station in his town, no super U choice there so I filled up with 95).

Driving in Europe, France I always choose 98 sans plomb, Germany has super whatever and Italy has Shell VPower - no need for 95 ron there.

I use it whenever I can, but, as I have said before, I can't sense any hint of difference between the 95 and the 98 ron; it accelerates exactly the same with either, without any pinking!
May try vegetable oil with cowpat extract one day, see if thats ok!

Optimax most of the time, BP Ultimate sometimes, and occasionally have put in the ordinary stuff - if driving the car on a long motorway run, where I'm not really going to need 10/10ths performance, I don't see the need for Optimax, and don't think the occasional tankful can do any harm to the engine.

I've been reading that Tesco's are going to be selling (in fact already are at some places) 99 RON fuel, for only a little more than 95 RON. Opinions anyone?

The list of available stations looks pretty limited - see thread on S2ki.com:
