MSV Track Academy!!
Discussion
Hello has anyone ever attended this track course?
I am seriously thinking on getting one of these, I have also heard of the CSS (California Superbike School) but unfortunately they don't do weekends, and as I am a contractor by profession, it means taking the day off will make this a very expensive day, with MSV they do weekends so this would suit me well without costing me twice as much.
Has anyone been to any of these events? What's your experience? Is it worth the money?
They have Level 1 and Level 2, seems very similar to CSS.
Thanks

Who is the alleged 'one of the best rider coaches in the uk' ?? You may be better off reaching out to someone like Simon Banting or Chris Butcher @ HPC and see if that makes better sense .....
You realise that the coaching cost is 'on top of' the trackday cost so don't get fooled into thinking you are getting coaching for £150 ...

I think they've teamed up with Steve Brogan for their training as I know he's gone alone, and is advertising his days as MSV days.
There's loads of options out there other than those listed above :
Ron Haslam Race School are not dissimilar to CSS, but a little more prescripted and you have to use their bikes
Alternatively, there's loads of people that do private one to one coaching at any trackday you care to choose
I'd recommend Chris Butcher (https://www.hpc.bike) as mentioned above, but also:
Gary Walton of NSF training
https://www.notso-fast.com
Dean Ellison
http://www.ellison42.co.uk
They're all similar pricing (just about) and they're yours for the day at any trackday, and have a whole host of Video Analysis tools etc.
I appreciate they're more money than CSS, RH days or MSV, but you get what you pay for in this industry
Alternatively, although I don't think there's any weekend dates this year, there's Silverstone's Neill McKenzie Masterclass, which is 2:1 instruction ratio, but you're then free to ride any sessions you're not being coached in, so it's effectively a full open pit-lane day

Thanks for the replies guys, I was unaware there were so many options I will keep these in mind, one thing I forgot to mention is, I am not looking into become serious into track days, I just want to become a better rider generally, I am 34 and only got my license last year so I am a real novice and trying to fast track a bit of experience so I can be a bit more confident on the road/braking/turning and have better bike control.
Thanks
Thanks

Ok, on that basis may be worth looking at the No Limits trackdays calender, they usually have weekend dates and you can get free advice / instruction from their guys quite easily .... they also run some novice only days ....Thanks
I would do the following:
At the beginning of the day go see the instructors and ask for some help in session two, they will then instruct you to meet them at session start at their garage:
Session 1: Go out, learn your way round the circuit a bit, 1/2 the session will be sighting laps.
Session 2: Have some instruction. - After session instructor will debrief you and give advice.
Session 3 & 4: Go practice what he said, they quite often keep an eye out for those they have helped.
Go back and ask for some more instruction / appraisal in session 5.
Session 5: back out, he will do some follow me / follow you - After session debrief
Session 6&& - Go play with your new knowledge.
Not as intensive or formal as a 'proper day' but based on what you have said its what I'd recommnend, then if you really get the trackday bug go Ron Haslam / CSS or independent instructor with the costs involved.
Just my advice ...
