So there I am sitting in Waitrose carpark with a kilo of fresh prawns in the sunshine when, after an hour, the recovery guy shows up to load my car and says

"Hello Angus how's it going!"

Goddam it I'm on first name terms with the towtruck guys.

Dead car. Won't start. Ignition comes on and fuel pump primes etc. Do I care what the problem is? No. And if it wasn't for concern over residuals I'd have kicked it on its way to the TVR graveyard.

I should buy another Griff.

Next time it happens keep your finger on the button. It will probably start after a minute or two. Mine does it about once every six months or so.

Stick with it Angus, Cerbs seem to need a good 6 months to get used to a new owner.

Having said that, the Griffs seems to be a lot more forgiving.

It could be worse - you could have gone for a speed 6!

Andy's right, this isn't a technical term, but " off that original starter button, that goes through four miles of piss poor wiring & fit a new one direct to the starter (via a relay of course)"

Good luck & stick with it, I did & I'm constantly skint.... come to think of it, BURN IT, or Email me & we can "accidently" smash in to each other

Only kidding, officer
