Excuse my ignorance but if I ditch the spacesaver for my chim how much cans of tyre weld do i need to carry. Also how does the stuff work, can I tyre be repaired if it is used and how lond do you have before the tyre goes flat?

One.

It leaks through the puncture and sets in the air.

The tyre can be repaired but the gunge has to be cleaned out first.

It shouldn't go flat if the gunge works - the hole is sealed.

I'd carry two. These cans also have a shelf life so do replace them now and again.

I was gonna gamble this for LeMans last year but took it anyway...tyre gunge won't get you to a tyre place if the tyre is ripped or has a big hole in it....

I agree.....carry two cans, worth the peace of mind. Also, the roof is a bit easier to get in, and, occasionally out too.
When the shelf life is about to be up....you can give it them a present at Christmas to you boss (unless he/she drives a TVR of course).
