Due to an impending emmigration I'm going to have to sell my beloved 993TT and was wondering what sort of price to put it up for privately? It's a very late '96 ('97 model), arctic silver, full flamenco red leather, sports seats, full porsche + JZ Machtech SH, Techart 100 cell race cats, Tubi sports silencers, 52K miles, Bilstein PSS9 suspension + more.
Any input would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Ouch, tough one.
There was a fairly nice 993tt hovering around recently - was on the market for at least 6 weeks that i know of and i think remains unsold.
Not high mileage or in bad condition, and fairly well specced (comparable to yours in most ways i suspect), but i know the guy was having lots of trouble (not getting close to the 33k asking) because of the flamenco leather.
Have you considered an SOR? Talk to people like Henry at 911virgin and you could be driving it until the day you leave and then just leave it with him to sell. RSJ and Northway's do similar things i believe.
Please don't take offence, i'm just going based on the formidable research i did just a month or two ago before buying my 993tt (i've been watching the prices for four years...)
Best of luck.

You going anywhere nice?

Sorry, i was talking LHD.
Be careful with NZ - a friend of mine was just about to take his Cerb over there last year and they changed the import rules while it was on the boat.
They have tightened up recently - if i can get more info i will e-mail you (my mate lives there now and drives a '72 Monaro and a '99 Impreza).

Cheers VS - I'll keep my eyes on NZ rules but last time I looked I could take one car, one motorbike and one boat into NZ without paying any import duty. My Kiwi wife, however, would get stung if they were in her name.
I'm not sure about the bank holiday meet - I may have plans that weekend - but I would be more than happy to give you a demo of the Tubi's some other time. They do sound fantastic (IMO)

Ewan , be careful, you wont pay any import duty but you will have to pay NZ's equivalent of VAT (called GST - goods & services tax). Its 12.5% on the freight inclusive price of the vehicles.
