Porsche certificate of authenticity - no more !

So back in October I decided to join Porsche Club GB at Bicester Heritage, the main selling point was that I would be able to get a Certificate of authenticity for essentially the joining fee for our 3.2 Carrera, which I thought was great, I do appreciate there are other benefits being part of teh club..

Called my local OPC to arrange and show my documents for the certificate application, to which they confirmed Porsche no longer provides this service as of December 7th. A month after I joined! Also had this confirmed by Head Office. I believe the actual form itself is called Certificate of Production order.

Bit gutted, as clearly not having this service would have made me think twice in joining the club. Should have acted quicker! Note sure how much value people place on these certificates and whether they are just a nice to have..

Literally got mine in December, good job I snuck in then.

It’s a pain, I got mine also in Dec by the skin of my teeth.

I believe something similar to replace the cert is in the pipeline so keep pushing your OPC and the Porsche Club for updates.

I hope so, they suggested in the meantime they would provide a small gift for those missing out.. probably a key ring
