Calling GTR owners

Hi,

I am seriously considering buying a GTR.....I would be looking at a post 2011 can with the annual service intervals and looking to spend up to £42-43k for a premium/recaro edition car.

For those that own GTR’s or have done in the past what are your honest opinions on them....are they cars that give you that petrol head buzz or are they lacking character? I have owned Porsche and contemplated another Porsche but can’t find what I want without now spending big money on 997 turbo/GT3.....will it be a good alternative?

Servicing I would use Litchfield, but on bigger wear items like tyres and brakes what mileage normal road use would you see from a set of pads and tyres?

What are your biggest hates and what are the main issues to be aware of?

They are very much drivers cars my uncle has now had his for 9 years it's always been serviced by Litchfield who have been nothing but superb, I'd actually recommend talking to them to see if they either have one for sale or know of a customer thinking of selling, it's very much a drivers car & the drivetrain makes it's presence felt.

Have a read of this thread amongst the bias & some of the rubbish spouted by those who haven't driven one there's a lot of useful information.
