How to get into boot without a key!

It's easy with my 500, just got back from 10 days in the French Alps and on the odd occasion that our speed got over 140ish the boot popped open, very embarassing leaving soiled underwear along the Autoroute.
Is this a strange Corradoesque automatic spoiler?
Has it happened to anyone else?
If anyone is thinking of taking their TVR to the mountains, make sure that you stay somewhere at altitude with as many hairpin bends as possible to negotiate every morning and evening. We had 14 in 6 miles, new rear tyres are now on the shopping list.
