Audi S5 or M2 Competition (both lease)

I wonder if anyone wants to help with throwing in their opinion and thoughts on a little dilemma I have?
I currently have an Audi S5 sport back (New shape 2017 model) on lease that is due to go back on April 1st - the car will then be two years old and will have done almost exactly 20,000 miles.
I have the option of extending the lease for another 12 months and another 10,000 miles.
The car has been faultless, it’s plenty rapid enough and I really enjoy driving it. The four-wheel-drive element gives loads of grip - I was sort of expecting to find it okay car, but it’s been great.
iI had t serviced in November and put four tyres on so it’s all good to go with no other on costs for the next 12 months other than a possible service just before handing it back - no big deal. We probably handed back a few weeks early to avoid needing to put an MOT on it.
I’m being offered a figure of £360 per month to keep it to the next 12 months. (Currently paying £320 per month)
OR
BMW M2 competition on a two-year deal, 10,000 miles per year, £390 per month plus £4700 initial payment.
So £30 per month more plus of course the £4700 initial outlay but obviously you would then run until 2021.
I’ve just tested in the M2 yesterday and loved it, a bit more raw than the S5 and not as technologically advanced interior wise and less standard specification, but I’m not sure if it really bothers me much. It’s clearly a great fun car to drive.
I very rarely go on a motorway or dual carriageway, most my driving is cross-country, in and around the edge of the Cotswolds.
To put this into context it will be a daily driver, I have a Jaguar F type v8 convertible for summer fun and the reason for considering the M2 is to think about adding a bit more fun into my everyday driving.

If what is roughly a £5k difference to change to the M2 isn't a bother to you and you feel like a change then why not? I doubt you're likely to hate the M2 although in time you may find it a bit more cramped and less practical than the S5.
To give my personal opinion. I think I'd want something a little more wafty as my second car if I already had something like an F-type. Does anyone really need 2 front engined, rwd, 400bhp+ sports cars?. For example, one of my mates runs a V8 Cayenne alongside his M2 and another runs a FF RR alongside his F-type.

Thanks. I know exactly what you mean. I'm not worry too much about practicality and I definitely wouldn't find the M2 cramped, my wife has something bigger we use for family duties. if I spent a lot of time on motorways then yes, wafty might be better, but I do enjoy spirited drive and it's almost always cross-country driving for me.If what is roughly a £5k difference to change to the M2 isn't a bother to you and you feel like a change then why not? out of curiosity - why does the lease payment go up for extending a lease on an old car?
Out of those 2 cars, I suspect the M2 will be more fun, and having a new car to play with is generally a great feeling. Guess it depends on how much it is worth to you, given the substantially higher cost (once you annualise the upfront payment)

generally it's because there's no deposit to skew the monthlies, if you compare the extension to the original monthlies plus the deposit amortized over the original term its probably slightly lower... then theres inflation and general price rises to considerJetskiJezz said:

In those circumstances the M2 will no doubt be more to your liking than the S5.Most of my driving is either around town or on twisty B roads and as such I've come to the conclusion that (for me anyway) the current top of the line performance cars available to mortals are all too fast to be enjoyed properly on our roads. For the first time ever I've bought a car with less power than the previous one (half the power) and I'm actually enjoying driving again for the first time in a while.
