On AutoTrader, some cars are marked 'priced low', 'good price', great price' etc.

What dies it mean?

Is there a definition for the way they arrive at these judgements?

If you hover over the "good price" ; "low price" etc banners then a pop up window explains - it's just basically a check against the market value of the car and how the advertised price compares

I often find that the 'good price' ones are generally overpriced, I lookout for the 'great priced' ones, which still aren't exactly bargain of the century.

Marketing tool for trade ads

The cynic in me thinks that depending on how much trade a dealer puts their way the more cars get highlighted

Strangely the Best Buy good price cars are often the most expensive !

The wording is very similar for all the different categories

"Why is this car priced low?
Auto Trader has price-checked this car against the market value for similar cars and identified it as priced low".

Wossit mean?

Perhaps the closer the vehicle gets to the vendors stock rule (30,60,90 days) it goes from good to great deal? It certainly has no bearing on the actual value from what I can see. Marketing tool only, think DFS SALE!! 90% OFF...
