Clio 200 vs Civic Type R EP3 Premier

Currently weighing up these two options to replace my Mk7.5 Fiesta ST.

I'm wanting to change the Fiesta for something a bit cheaper but still fun so both these cars have obviously made their way onto my radar.

I've had older Clios - 172 and 182 - but never really ventured into Hondas.

What would people suggest out of these two? I know it will be a fairly biased response but be good to get some feedback on each.

Any other suggestions welcome. Requirements are:

- hot hatch
- fun
- fast(ish)
- capable on a track
- around £7k budget
