Macan new LED lights
Discussion
Wonder if anyone can comment on the new standard NON PDLS LED lights... we have a car with xenon PDLS and are wondering whether we need to bother as my wife thinks the standard LED will be fine...
Does anyone have the standard new LED lights and care to comment how good or not they are?
Cheers

I'd say stick with standard, or go the whole hog on matrix LEDs. I've never been that impressed by the slight steering and beam shaping from PDLS (I have PDLS LEDs on my 991), and would say that just having the bright LEDs would be almost as good. The matrix lights on the other hand are like witchcraft, as you can drive on full beam almost all the time, but then they're a huge amount of money if you don't drive a lot on dark, unlit roads.

I’ve got PDLS LED’s on my 991 and on my Macan Turbo PP....they’re much better on the Macan. The shape of the beam alters a lot more based on road speed and if cornering. I have a terrible box ticking habit and wouldn’t bother with PDLS on a 911 (shape of headlight unit restricts functionality available I think) .Back to the OP’s question. Standard LED’s will be excellent but PDLS will be superb.
