Was going to post about how I ditched all sugar last year.......and now seem to have ditched asthma!

But reading online it seems pretty widely accepted that it can happen so now I feel like I'm posting "ate less...got smaller" - a bit obvious!

So, happy to elaborate for anyone as baffled as I was - but in summary:

Asthma since 7 (last 39 years) - exercise induced. Could run 10k in 45m with a puffer.......would be short of breath after 2 mins without. 10 mins of cardio with no puffer and I'm in trouble......havent let it get that bad in years but in the past I've ended up in A&E when I ran out of meds!

Havent used a puffer in 2019 - running 3/4 times a week. Up to 12k. Also doing heavy deads/squats which was another easy way to get short of breath.

Feel fine.

Quit sugar last autumn....as in ALL sugar.*

Average 8g a day from lactose in milk and what occurs in leafy green veg - thats it. (and the milk is home made kefir so most of the sugar is gone by the time I drink it)

That's great! Spread the word.

Though I hadn't heard that particular connection before, it is another illness that I suspect our ancestors didn't get. We evolved on this rock, very successfully. We are not allergic to everything around us, or naturally chronically sick. I suspect a lot is down to diet.
