I'm just about to get a pair of new plates for my new-to-me 335i. Before I had a BMW I always thought i'd have an E46 M-Sport with plate holders like these and pressed metal plates:

But now I've got a more subtle 335i SE instead, I'm thinking 'nah'. But I did find some more subtle ones:

Cool or tacky? I like the 'extra german' bit, but I like a clean OEM look so I am thinking i'll just get plastic plates and drill and screw them on like the old ones.

The top ones work on old E30's etc, but I think the subtle ones would look better on a more modern BMW, much like the 335i you've purchased.

I'd go subtle standard plates. Pressed plates seem so scene...

Remember to also leave your front number plate off and have that on the dashboard instead.
