Which TVR for 7 - 8K ???

Looking for a weekend toy, up to £7 / £8K at a push (less would be good). Must be reliable :-\

Anyone got an opinion what to look at ? If it makes a difference I'm 6ft 3in tall with size 12 feet. I spent many happy miles in a 1600M (a long long time ago) and value handling and brakes over sheer grunt every time.

Oh, and I don't like wedges.....

an S3 which would fit the budget and also it has longer doors than the S1 and S2 thus easier for you being tall.

Most of the running gear and engine is Ford with a Ford 2.9 V6 engine.

The S3 or perhaps a nice 3000S, for me it would be the 3000S

If you want an S, an S3 has got to be the way to go as being taller, you'll need a bit more legroom.

You might be lucky and find a V8S in poorer than usual condition, but they tend to go for a bit more.. Plenty of older models could be had for that money, and would leave you some spare change..

Bugsy is 6 ft + and has enormous feet (size 11 I thinks).... He'll probabaly give me clip around the ear hole when I see him next and has had 2 S3's... so on that bases he fits them


also that will leave some money in the bank for fettlng about and upgrading suspension/ exhaust/ ECU or what ever
