Petrol Spillage :(

Hideous error at petrol station! Petrol overflowed all over the back of the car Looks awful, cleaned up as best as I can but its eaten through my wax, cant polish it out. Any recommedations?

With Chimaeras - this happens. I've done it.

What I did to fix it was.

1) Wait until totally, utterly dry and all petrol has evaporated.

2) Wash thoroughly.

3) Wax polish.

4) Buff with machine polisher (domestic version - don't want to take the damn paint off!)

This worked for me. You may need to use T-cut or similar I'm afraid. Do NOT use T-cut with a machine polisher...do this part by hand.

If this isn't working can I suggest Chipsaway - who can sort out most things...

cost me £250 for a FULL day and the car looks fab, really impressed took out all sorts of scratches etc and this was much cheaper than chips away

Thanks guys, got up a bit earlier this morning to wash her behind again, looking a bit better. I'll grab some autoglym and try that first!

Where are they based please and do you know how far they will travel?

I think that he's in petworth, west sussex.

but afaik, he'll travel.

It's worth it, as it's a 'he' relationship rather than 'they', much more personable, but without teh national coverage
